In this episode of The D SHIFT podcast, I welcome Dr. Unnatti Jain, an expert in youth behavioral change working specifically with parents of Generation Z children. Dr. Jain provides valuable insights into parenting today's tweens and teens and discusses the importance of moving from control to connection in parenting. She focuses on breaking the barrier of parenting from misinformation and assumptions and looking at the reasons behind the child's behavior helps to create strong bonds within families.

She emphasizes the significance of understanding the emotions behind a child's actions and the need to build a safe space for open communication. Dr. Jain's refreshing perspective challenges traditional parenting approaches and offers practical advice for navigating the complexities of raising teenagers. Her focus is on bridging generations, not creating additional obstacles between parents and teens.

Tune in to learn more about creating meaningful connections with your teen and fostering a positive, collaborative relationship.
